Laura Walker

Laura Walker (she/her) is a writer and educator whose work explores nature, grief, and the things that haunt us. Her work is featured in Zone 3 Literary Journal, Cathexis Northwest, Sugar House Review, and elsewhere.

Laura has worked in education nearly twenty years, primarily teaching writing to college students throughout the West. She continues to teach writing courses via the Loft Literary Center, Utah Humanities' Clemente program, and other organizations, writing her heart out in between.

 

From Southern California by way of Flagstaff, AZ, Laura now lives in Utah’s Wasatch Front with her wife. Laura holds an MFA in fiction from Northern Arizona University, where she also served as editor in chief for Thin Air Magazine. She now reads poetry for Sugar House Review and hosts the Writing Connections podcast.

 

She is currently working on a novel revision and a poetry memoir about loss, memory, and moving on.
